In my opinion, geotagging and geocaching is kinda creepy! Why would any want to know where you took the picture unless they are being stalkerish! I mean, yeah, the picture is visually interesting of a building in the high midst of the sunset, but really? can't the person just tagg the image and say picture taken blah bah blah.

Podcasts #15

I attempted to listen to the minnesota public radio podcast, but I just don't get it.And the whole rss feed thing into my blog account. this is pobably the most confusing thing in the whole 16 things... so far. even though I have one more to go. In the directories, I tried clicking the yahoo podcast which i was really excited for, but the server was down. Then the other links were not to be found. ???????
So far this thing as not inspired me into doing anything related to podcasting.

Research project calculator #14

This calculator is time managing. This should be very useful for anyone who has bad time managing skills, like me! :) Yeah, this is definately helpful. I mean I can't say its accurate all the time because people work at different paces, but it works. I could use this for futute essays and profolios that I need to work on in order to graduate.

Online Productivity tool #13

I always knew there was an option to costumize your home page on Yahoo, but I never bothered. But because of this THING, I spent a little time and refreshed my home page to how I like it to be. I changed the layout and theme and color and font. It has a flower theme. Looks very orangy.
The calender tool things are helpful, but they are not something I would use just because I find no need for it. I know my boyfriend downloaded this Stickynotes thing and I did the same, and thats really helpful because i;m always on the computer so whenever I go the stickynotes remind me of what I need to do

Tagging and Del.icio.us #12

Am I dumb or can i not find where it says manage posts? Or tagging for that matter of fact?

I've always done it the easy and quick way: click tag, type in the person's name and tag! But this whole delicious and bookmarking and taggin is kinda hard. I'll just have to spend more time figuring it out. Maybe it's just me but I don't see it as anything important my in academic life.

Online creations #11

And i thought the more flickring thing was cool. this is even better! It's fun and easy to create. Not only that you don't even have to upload photos, you can get photos off of facebook or myspace. That saves a lot of hassle and time into uploading pictures. I reccommend this to EVERYONE who hasn't done this yet. It's really cool.

This is so cool. Its fun and easy. Just like he said its time comsuming! Just this THING # 10 alone I've spent and hour messing around with this. ha AWESOME.

And for some odd reason, he big huge lan thing is not opening for me.. its only giving me blank pages. grrrr

I was surprised this was quick and easy. I usually use facebook to store all my pictures and photobucket, but this is better because I can connect it with my blogs and do a whole bunch of other stuff. I'll most likely continue to use this for school or anything picture related.

So i am having issues with this one. I clicked on the link, and tried editing, but it is not allowing me too. I even created an acount. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??? :(

Online Collaboration #7

This whole online collaboration thing is weird.. to me. Google Docs was simple and easy to use, but was very basic and didn't have a much option for fonts. As for Zoho writer it seemed more complex, well looks better and has more options to work with. I would choose google docs if you want quick easy done go, Zoho if you want more of a quailty. It looks like their foundation was based upon microsoft word.

Digg & Reddit #6

I took the Digg tour, so its like a newpaper, but online with the exception that it was post by people like ME. Is the source reliable? I sure do hope so. Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't it like Wikipedia all over again?
Neat thing is, I get to customize and choose what kinds of topics I want to see or read. My next favorite spot for research...Other neat thing is, I can connect Digg to m facebook and then BAM I'm popular. Isn;t crazy how internet works now a days?

So Reddit is connecting with twitter? OOO! It will save me time from going into twitter when I can have it all on Reddit. I just don't get it...Credible or not? Could always check to see if there is an author, person who wrote and where it had come from. The website should provide that.

Beyond MyFaceSpaceBooking #5

I choose Twitter because I've always heard of it. People are always talking about twitter on the radio and I told myself I should check it out and never got the chance to so this forced me to do it. I really do think it's cool, but my goodness, I've read some comments people put up and it makes no sense to me what so ever. Probably cause I have to know what they are talking about and follow them more. Cool thing is, with this I could get the lastest inside scoop with everything I need. All I have to do is find the right people or thing to follow. Because I haven't spent as much time as I do on facebook on twitter so I'm not qute sure if I build any professional development. I guess I could twitter on my lastest art work or what I'm doing and maybe if I ahve enough followeres, it could lead somewhere. Thing is, when one tweet the whole world basically see its. If someone is really immature, they could trash talk so bad and probably get away with it. Well maybe not.. who knows.

Social Media #4

I have facebook. Who doesn't, really? On there, I socialize with all my friends or just people I know. Recently I've discovered the Ai group on facebook; I joined that group of course. It's really neat. I've met people who go to Ai in California to Ai in Texas. That group is like one big Ai c o m m u n i  t y .
I know there is so much more to facebook than just socializing, There's games! Tons and tons of games. No, just kidding, but there are also professionals recruiting people. I used to work at this one place, I will not say, and they have people actually going on facebook to recruit people as part of there time working. I'm pretty sure if we all go look and search for certain groups, there are professionals who made a facebook to put their work out there and recruit people. I'm in a graphic design major and I could easily search in graphic design and I'm pretty sure there are all types of graphic design groups. I've joined the AigD group on facebook, which is also invovled with my school, and from them I can build networks with professionals out there. And heck, I could make my own group on facebook and promote my art works or other works that I have to build my career. It would be nice to cause then I'll be meeting people with the same interest and we can share our artworks and art life together. There is a difference betwee social media and professional media of course. Social media is more relaxed because its more for people to connect and have fun. Professional media is all work and networking. Not saying its not fun or relax, but not as quite as social media.

Aim Portal #3

The whole layout of the My Ai Campus.com was interesting, really neat design. Props to someone who made it. Every link is easy to find. Has almost every resource we, as a student, need. What's really useful is the grades I believe. Checking my grades online is quick and easy so that is useful. Even more useful registrating for new courses online! Easy and simple. It is a great resource for Ai students ecspecially because it is made for the Ai students so everthing we need from academic info to studen resources to email to etc. There's a ton. Any student who hasn't been on there should get on there soon!

RSS Account #2

So I looked at the directions like WTF? And signed up for a RSS account on Bloglines and still was like WTF??!?! But then I got it. RSS it really is! Its like all my websites that I go to in one place! Definately look more into this when I get a chance.

Setting Up My Blog #1

Setting up the blog was pretty easy to do because I had to open a google account and do blogs for my highschool course, Media Literature. I really enjoyed the whole avatar thing especially the dressing up and making it look like me. :) I didn't know we could do avatar things on here! So far so good...!
